Henry`s Restaurant in Lockhart

Chelsey (awesome wife) and I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The place had a cozy, laid back, unique part of the town country feel that reminded me of my first restaurant job in Rockett, TX. I had the smaller Chicken Fried Steak, which was more than enough. Service was quick and friendly and when the ticket came back for 20 bucks for a meal for two, that put it from 4 to 5 stars for me. Will return when swinging through Lockhart again. :)

Best BURGER holds true to Lockhart food with it having famous BBQ Henry’s is a must !!! Worth the beautiful drive

Good place to come and eat with your family. The service was good and the food was even better. I recommend the jalapeno queso burger.

Very nice place for lunch. It's good, all American food, and easy on the wallet!

Very great service by our server Chris. The hearty portion of chicken fried steak dinner was excellent. The corn and real mashed potatoes were very fresh and good. Cook a little heavy on the salt but can always ask them to go lightly with salt. Texas toast was perfect. Way too full to try any desserts this time but will definitely be back.

This place is a solid and trustworthy choice, especially for Lockhart.

DON'T EVER EAT THEIR ENCHILADAS! THEY MAKE GREAT BURGERS AND A GOOD BREAKFAST. BUT NOT MEXICAN FOOD.

Great atmosphere. Our waitress Audrey anticipated our needs, tea refills, extra napkins, etc. The cooking was superb. We'll definitely be back.

Breakfast all day! All of the breakfast options sounded delicious. We had the chicken fried steak breakfast plate which came with eggs and potatoes. Also had biscuits and gravy with sausage. Everything was really good. Combined with hot coffee and friendly waitstaff made for a perfect breakfast spot that I will come back to over and over again.

Very nice place. Good food, fair prices, friendly and attentive staff, right in the DT. Everything to like.

New ownership. Sloppy decor. Not happy find my 15 year old son exposed to sex and women in lingerie the ENTIRE meal because the TVs were set to a soap opera. It was lunchtime. Food was not up to the quality we are used to under the previous owner. Our server, however, was a bright spot in the day - and it was only his 2nd day.

We had not been to Henry's in quite some time ... And now wished we hadn't waited so long our food was awesome, servings are large, and the staff friendly!! Y'all will definently be seeing us more often. Oh, and my pork chops could be cut with a fork!! Mmmmm

The jalapeno poppers were good and would have again. The chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and the white gravy were on point for this fat boy. I'm very...very particular about my chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The green beens were fresh with a little texture to them (not over cooked at all). The white gravy was thick and all I could think about was layering it on biscuits with some sausage pieces (yes I'm from the south) . My lady had the bacon cheese burger with fries and had to take half of it home with a gleam in her eyes. This fat boy polished off the 10oz chicken fried steak about an hour ago and I'm still very happy about the choice. Price with two tea's was well in range and better then I expected.

The last 4 visits have resulted in Wrong orders, missing items or add ons, drinks refilled with the wrong beverage, and Burned Food Sent out by the kitchen. The FOH is wonderful but the BOH apparently has lost their passion for quality. THIS Is my final review at this eatery For summer 2018 I will return in September for an update. Until then I do not recommend eating here.

Staff is more friendly then before. We walked in and were greeted, didnt have to wait long for food to come out. And waitress kept up with us on drinks.

Went during the week to having a fantastic meal, and I have had their ribbye in the past being really tasty. My lemon pie was tasty... However today my special price couldnt be rang up correctly not the fault of my cashier. Just for your information Barbie there is awesome with customer service btw. I ordered my ribeye special and ordered medium well, which my cow was moving and my mash request with brown gravy was with white gravy soooo was a bit broken hearted about my meal today.

Best home cooking in town

My sister and I ate lunch there order enchiladas and mex plate the sauce for it was brown thick looking gravy and the cheese wasn't melt it.. .the food was warm .and they took 40 minutes before our order come in .never will i try it again.

My mom and I were not impressed with the enchiladas. They were bland and the rice was overcooked. The salsa was the best.

A great place to get a bite to eat if you're in Lockhart and tired of barbeque. Breakfast was delicious, everything was reasonably priced, and the service was very friendly. Even though we were in a party of 8, they were still super nice and didn't insist on including the gratuity like some places do for large parties. Definitely recommend.

I like the atmosphere, friendly in a small town way. The food is good. I recommend the hamburger, nachos, popcorn shrimp basket, and any of the breakfast items. The breakfast tacos, biscuits and gravy are good. I go there many times a week.

My husband and I went for lunch. The staff is always very welcoming and greet you with a smile. The food is good and the prices are decent. Feels very much like a mom/pop diner. It's a nice change if you're not in the mood for BBQ.
